Light of God Shines in Darkness

Light of God shines in darkness.  Darkness has never overpowered light.  Darkness is always receptive to the light.

First thing we need to understand is that Light equals God and God equals light.  There is no separation when speaking of either of them individually.  People will always be responsive to the light of God shown through man.  Some people will hide their face from it but not for long when repeatedly exposed to it.
It’s like a moth to a flame.  The moth, or people, see the flame or the light of a person and see the absence of that in them, and they begin to crave it.  They search for it until they find it for themselves.   If they seek the light they will find the light and in turn they will find God, since they are one.
God is not a mystery, actually, he is the very opposite.  He is an open book.  He tells us exactly where to find him and what steps to take to stay in his light.
Once you step into light and it has impacted and changed you, then you must share it with everyone and you do that through the changes that God makes in your daily life.
When you are the person walking in the light of God this is a responsibility you have to keep.  You have to desire the light of God, you have to live before the light, and you have to believe the light is truth and that you need the light more than you need air.  The light is the reason for getting up in the morning, the reason for being kind to people around you.
Once you step into the light of God you can’t be cocky in the light.  You must recognize the light is God and he is shining through you, so every good deed or change that comes from the light of God is glorified back to God.
It’s unlike a mirror, where we see our reflection but we see the reflection of God.  When someone looks at you they are seeing your face, your body, but they are truly seeing the reflection of God and not you.  When people see the light of God they are seeing the goodness of God at work through you.
When you look under ultra violet lights most of the time the object you are looking at is unappealing or unattractive and that happens in god’s light as well.  You personally start to see all your flaws that darkness hides.  You see all your mistakes, and what you need to change.
This will lead some people into fear.  They will think how can I stand in this light if I am exposed or not good enough.  But that is not the truth.  The truth is light is what makes you desire to be better.  God’s goodness and mercy is what makes you better.
You desire to be better because you want to please God.  You desire to be better because you want to help the people around you, because, you were once one of those people.
Don’t allow the enemy to make you think you can’t stand in God’s light, or you are not worthy of being in God’s light.  None of us are worthy to stand in God’s light or presence.  That is why God sent Jesus to die for us, so that you may and can have the light of God in your life.
A lot of time people won’t understand that you have God’s light in you.  They will just recognize that you are different.   They don’t even realize the reason you are different is because God himself is shining through you.  What people see and respond to is actually God and not you.    This can lead a non-believer to God.
Once they are around you and spend time getting to know you, they will ask you, or other people, what is different about you, and you can give your testimony, but be careful to deliver your testimony to them where they are.  Don’t speak over their heads or make them feel condemned.  Receive them and their questions with love and mercy.  Be tender and aware of whom you are speaking too and at what level of understanding they have.
When you welcome God into your life and receive him you then become one with him.  The oneness happens immediately when you become born again, but the process of understanding that your one with God can take some time.  It’s a journey that you are on.  You have just signed up for a marathon, not a sprint.
You age in God, just as you age in life, by wisdom and experience.  Your experience grows you to a different level of maturity.  Your level of commitment will also age you in God.
If you are committed, and purpose your life for God, and walk that out in your daily life, you will mature faster in God, than if you choose to do very little.  If you take time out of your daily routine to be in God’s presence and read God’s word you can advance in God quickly, but if you only communicate with God when you need something your walk with him will only progress at that rate.
Keep in mind that whatever you put focus or energy to will grow and expand.  This principle is true with God as well.  If you focus on God and his word, he will begin to expand in your life.  You will come to a new level of understanding in God and your trust and faith in him will increase as well.
